Our Roots

When The Rottweiler Magazine was launched in December 2002, its goal was to fill a void left when other Rottweiler breed-specific magazines had stopped publishing. We hoped to publish big, fat, informative glossy color editions 4 times a year. While the seas were pretty rough, we managed to produce issues we are proud of and avoid drowning in a tsunami of magazine-related debt. More recently, the horrible economy, incredibly high printing and mailing costs, the rise (and mostly fall) of at least three competitive print publications, declining numbers of Rottweilers, and a host of other rotten stuff caused us to re-evaluate the feasibility of our original business plan. In the course of our other business relationships, we also discovered new and exciting resources for more timely and cost-effective printing and mailing.

Beginning with the November 2009 edition, The Rottweiler Magazine is becoming a monthly publicaiton. The Rottweiler Magazine Monthly has new purpose and format so that it can deliver what our subscribers and advertisers want most:
• A magazine that presents a POSITIVE IMAGE of our beloved AKC pure-bred Rottweilers.
• Focused on AKC-style conformation and performance participation.
• Helpful and timely information about Rottweiler health issues and breeding to improve the breed.
• Up-to-the-minute litter announcements and stud dog information.
• Important information about Rottweiler ownership, training tips, and more.

Magazine Facts:
• Published MONTHLY with the FRESHEST information and advertising possible.
• Highest quality color production throughout.
• Fewer pages with the number flexible, depending on amount of material and advertising received by press time at the end of each month.
• No deadline for advertising. If your ad and/or payment arrive after press time, we will hold it for the next month's issue.
• New, exclusive email address for all magazine-related communication to make sure your messages get through therottiemag@cfl.rr.com.

Our Commitment To Our Previous Advertisers and Current Subscribers

The Rottweiler Magazine Monthly is honoring all existing adver-tising obligations of the Rottweiler Magazine which it replaces.

If you sent in and/or paid for an ad to be included in TRM 14, please contact Linda Garvie immediately: therottiemag@cfl.rr.com
We will need new material to proceed with your ad, so be sure to contact us if we do not reach you.

In addition, we will honor all current subscriptions to The Rottweiler Magazine.

For subscribers in the U.S., Mexico and Canada: If you have issues left on your current subscription, you will receive two issues of our monthly magazine for each single issue remaining on your subscription. For example, if you have one more issue due, you will receive two issues of The Rottweiler Magazine Monthly before you will need to renew. If you have a new subscription and have received no issues yet, you will get 8 issues of the new publication instead of 4.

International subscribers (except those in Canada and Mexico): You will receive one issue for each issue remaining on your subscriptions due to the much higher International postage rates to distant areas.

WE WILL NO LONGER SHIP ANY ISSUES VIA PRIORITY MAIL. If you have paid for priority shipping, we will automatically extend your supscription by two issues to accomodate the difference.

Our intention is to be absolutely fair with everyone. We thank you for your patience with us while we made a decision on how to move forward.
